Why this exists

A serious public shelf for humanitarian knowledge.

Many useful studies never reach the people who could use them: local organizations, students, field teams, funders, trainers, and policy practitioners. We want to make good humanitarian thinking visible without charging authors to be seen.

This is an editorially reviewed publishing platform, not a peer-reviewed journal. We label every publication honestly, and we will not claim academic peer review unless a formal peer-review process exists. Read the author guidelines →

Review workflow

Every submission should leave a clear editorial trail.

Submissions move through intake, completeness checks, safety screening, editorial review, author clarification where needed, and a publication decision. The process is designed for credibility, transparency, and responsible handling of humanitarian material.

1. Intake logWe record the title, author details, topic, region, format, and received status.

2. Rights and safetyWe check permission, originality, sensitive data, confidentiality, and risk to people or teams.

3. Editorial decisionWork may be accepted, declined, withdrawn, or returned for clarification or revision.

Useful, honest, sourced, and safe.

We look for

clear relevance to humanitarian, development, civil society, governance, or nonprofit work
original thinking, field evidence, data, or a well-argued synthesis
practical value for organizations, professionals, researchers, or students
respectful handling of vulnerable people, organizations, and sensitive contexts
transparent sources, limitations, and author responsibility

We do not publish

plagiarized work or papers submitted without permission
unsupported accusations against identifiable people or organizations
content that exposes vulnerable groups, survivors, or field teams to risk
thin promotional material disguised as research
AI-generated filler without real evidence, authorship, or judgment
