Editorial review, not academic peer review.

The Change Architect publishing route is an editorially reviewed humanitarian knowledge platform. It is not currently an academic journal, and publication here should not be described as peer-reviewed unless a separate formal peer-review process is created and disclosed.

What editorial review means

Editorial review checks whether a submission is relevant, safe, useful, properly labeled, and suitable for publication on this platform.

1. Initial screening confirms the topic, author identity, basic quality, and completeness.
2. Editorial review checks relevance, originality declaration, source transparency, risk, and practical value.
3. The editor may request revisions, clarification, source notes, anonymization, or stronger evidence.
4. Approved work is published with a clear publication label and author attribution.
5. Rejected or withdrawn work is not published, and the author is notified where practical.

Author responsibility

Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, permissions, and ethical handling of their work.

• Submissions must not be plagiarized.
• Authors must have the right to submit the work.
• Confidential, personal, or sensitive field information must be anonymized or removed.
• Claims about identifiable people, organizations, or events must be fair, evidenced, and safe to publish.
• Use of AI assistance must not replace real authorship, evidence, or judgment.

Review trail and author metadata

Each submission should carry enough information for responsible review and future discovery if it is accepted.

• Author metadata should include name, email, affiliation, role or discipline, profile URL where available, and country or region focus.
• Authors should disclose prior publication status, rights or organizational permission, and any AI assistance used in drafting, editing, or analysis.
• Editors may assign a clearer public label than the author originally selected when it better describes the work.
• Internal decision labels may include received, needs clarification, revision requested, accepted for platform publication, declined, or withdrawn.

Corrections and takedowns

The Change Architect may correct, update, withdraw, or remove published work when needed.

• Minor corrections may be made silently when they do not affect the substance.
• Material corrections should be noted on the publication page.
• Content may be withdrawn if it is unsafe, plagiarized, misleading, legally risky, or published without proper permission.
• Requests for correction or removal can be sent through the dedicated corrections route.
