The Change Architect is being developed as a public platform for humanitarian intelligence, learning, publishing, services, and local-organization visibility, with a careful path toward formal registration and stronger governance.

Institutional direction

A platform first, then a stronger organization.

The immediate priority is to build something useful and trustworthy: public knowledge, practical learning, organization visibility, publishing standards, and member services. The institutional layer should grow from that credibility, not from slogans.

Current status: The Change Architect is building toward a registered organization. It should not yet be described as a registered NGO, international organization, formal academic board, peer-reviewed journal, or field implementation network.

The long-term aim is not to run separate projects. The platform should become one professional environment where people can learn, publish, discover organizations, find opportunities, access tools, request services, and build trusted humanitarian networks.

Roadmap

The next institutional moves.

1. Build credibilityConnect the member portal, Atlas, TCAA Academy, publishing, resources, and service pathways into one clear visitor journey.
2. Prepare registrationReview a Belgium-first legal route with a qualified professional, while keeping a Netherlands option open only if it creates real value.
3. Invite serious peopleDevelop an academic and practitioner advisory concept before asking professors, experts, and sector leaders to attach their names.
4. Become fundablePrepare a mission, theory of change, first-year budget, safeguards, privacy principles, editorial standards, and financial controls.
5. Build the networkUse verified organization profiles, templates, training, and publishing to grow a community of local organizations and partners.
6. Move toward field workOnly develop rapid assessments, quality reviews, MEAL, capacity support, and implementation partnerships when policies and accountability are ready.
Governance before scale

Trust has to be built into the system.

  • partner due diligence before consortium or implementation claims
  • transparent publishing labels and correction/takedown processes
  • financial controls before fundraising is presented as institutional
  • clear roles before public advisory or board titles are used
